What is livestep eTransfer?
livestep eTransfer is a professional file delivery service for businesses. You can send large and sensitive files securely, in a GDPR-compliant manner and without advertising.
How does file delivery work?
You upload your file, enter the recipient's email address and send the download link. The recipient receives a notification and can download the file securely.
Can I adapt the design to my company?
Yes. From the Business plan onwards, you can customise livestep eTransfer to your company.

You can:
- add your own logo
- adjust colours
- use a custom background image

This way the file download and email notification appear in your brand's look and feel.
How secure is my data?
Your data is protected technically:
Transport encryption: TLS (HTTPS)
Storage encryption: AES-256

Your files are protected both during transfer and at rest.
Is the service GDPR-compliant?
Yes. livestep eTransfer is designed for professional use in businesses and meets GDPR requirements. Data is processed only on servers within the EU.
Can I protect my files with a password?
Yes. You can optionally add an extra layer of password protection to your files.
How does SMS password protection work?
SMS-based password protection requires credits. One credit is used per SMS sent.

You can purchase credit packages with 25, 100 or 500 credits.
How long are files available?
You can set how long your files remain available. After the chosen period, files are automatically deleted.
Is there a file size limit?
The maximum file size depends on your chosen plan. You can see the details in the plan overview.
How can I pay?
You can pay by credit card or SEPA direct debit. Billing is automatic according to your chosen plan.
Is there a minimum contract term?
No. There is no minimum contract term.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Your subscription can be cancelled at any time.
Can I change my plan?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes are prorated.
Will I receive an invoice?
Yes. You will automatically receive a proper invoice by email.
Are there setup fees or hidden costs?
No. There are no setup fees or hidden costs. You only pay the stated plan price and optionally credits for sending the password via SMS.
